Atlanta Physical Therapy Services

Ready to thrive again? We provide one-on-one individualized orthopedic physical therapy services to help you improve your function, minimize your pain, and find joy in movement again.

Physical Therapy Evaluation

At Thrive Physio, you can expect every visit to be 55 minutes of one-on-one attention with Elizabeth. In the initial evaluation, you will first discuss with Elizabeth what made you decide to come in for your visit, the history of your condition, and your general medical history. She will then take you through a series of objective measures including assessments of range of motion, strength, motor control, balance, functional mobility and sport or work specific movements. She will manually assess your area of concern to determine any soft tissue or joint restrictions impacting your current symptoms. If appropriate, Elizabeth can utilize her training in Selective Functional Movement Assessments, ergonomic assessments and postural assessments to provide further insight into your symptoms. Elizabeth will discuss with you her findings, as well as what you can do together to address your concerns. She will lay out her recommended plan of care and ensure that you determine together the best path forward to meet your goals. You will leave this session with a thorough understanding of what is going on, why and how you ended up here, and what we can do at Thrive Physio to get you back to doing what you love.

We will continue to re-evaluate throughout your plan of care to ensure we are making progress toward your goals and adjusting our plan as needed. Each session provides a chance for a mini evaluation to assess your current state, how that relates to where we started, and where we need to go from there.

Physical Therapy Follow Up

At each follow up visit you will spend 55 minutes of one-on-one time with Elizabeth. She will utilize a variety of treatment techniques including manual therapy (dry needling, soft tissue and joint mobilization, cupping and kinesiotaping), therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, blood flow restriction training, functional mobility and strength to address your pain points and improve your movement patterns. Elizabeth will provide an individualized home exercise program that will be progressed as appropriate in each visit. In addition, Elizabeth prioritizes education on posture, ergonomics, lifestyle modifications and other movement habits to make sure you develop an understanding of what you can do between sessions to maintain and add to the progress made in each individual session. The power of change is within each of us, but it is Thrive Physio’s job to help guide you at every step of this process!

Virtual Physical Therapy Evaluation & Follow Up Visits

In need of a physical therapist, but don’t know anyone locally? Working with other providers, but want another set of eyes? Want to continue your plan of care while on the road for work or on vacation? Schedule a virtual physical therapy session!

The same as an in-person evaluation, Elizabeth will discuss your history and what made you seek out physical therapy services. She will complete a visual assessment of your range of motion, motor control, balance, and functional movement patterns. She will have you complete relevant self-assessments that will be used to better understand your current symptoms, as well used in follow up sessions to reassess progress achieved. Elizabeth will explain her diagnosis and propose an individualized treatment plan to work toward your specific goals. Elizabeth will teach you self mobilization strategies to decrease pain, provide education on needed lifestyle modifications and training recommendations, and create a tailored home exercise program to address your needs. Your body is an incredibly intelligent being. Given the right tools, it has the ability to change and get back to being pain free to help you find joy in movement again.
